Our residential program will offer a peaceful and comfortable place to call home. Our housing and programs will be free for all survivors of human trafficking. From the moment they walk through the door until after completion of the program survivors will be able to get the services they need.
Each survivor that enters the restoration house will have had different traumatic experiences and have different needs. A case manager will create a step by step plan for each survivor. Individualized plans will make sure the survivors receive the highest quality of care while meeting their specific needs.
We believe life skills are an essential part of thriving in society. Survivors will learn valuable skills such as cooking, budgeting, time mangement, and other fundamental skills. A focus on problem solving, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills will help build resiliency and foster good healthy relationships.
A variety of classes will be offered to residents including, soap making, art therapy and music through our Healing Arts program. These staff and volunteer led classes will help survivors develop new interests and engage their mind as they heal.
Trauma-informed counseling will be availble in the restoration house. Both individual and group counseling sessions wll be provided. Drug and alcohol cessation classes will also be available for survivors.
Equine therapy will be an important part of the healing journey for survivors. This type of therapy has been known to help reduce anxiety and tension. Helping survivors to build confidence, trust, and improve their communication skills will aid in their restoration journey.
We believe education is the key to a brighter future. We will assist survivors in obtaining their GED, finacial aid, scholarships, and other educational initiatives to help them succeed. We will help with resumes, interview skills, and vocationa/job training to support them on their path to self-reliance.
The goal for each survivor when they graduate our program is to be healed from their trauma and be able to reach goals that they have set for themselves. Helping them to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to become self-sufficient is the ultimate goal for each survivor. Our hope is they will take back their power and live boldly with an understanding of God's love for them.
After completing the program, we provide peer to peer mentorship to new survivors entering the program. We know that a survivor who has completed the program, can also share their joy and pain throughout the healing experience. Mentors can provide hope for the survivor, that is going through the program.
Animals offer support and love to their human friends. There will be many opportunities for survivors to connect and care for animals through our Pet Therapy program.
