Our future drop-in center will serve as a refuge for victims of human trafficking in our community. It will be a comfortable place to rest so we can assist with their daily needs and help them feel safe for at least a short time. Our staff will provide victims with essential care items including hygiene products, clothing, food, and a peaceful place to rest. We will inform them of our long-term solutions for restorative care.
Our goal is to build trusting relationships with those victims who are actively caught in the dark life of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. We want to meet anyone that walks through the door where they are and walk along side themand encourage them toward a better tomorrow.
We will identify victims through our outreach program, Purses For A Purpose. Our trained outreach teams go out to the street to meet victims where they are. They will offer them a purse filled with hygiene items as well as our drop-in center information, so they can begin to build trusting relationships and offer our services to them.
Our impact in the community is to recover victims and provide necessary services for them. We aim to help to transition them out of a life of sexual exploitation and trafficking by providing the necessary services to achieve a life of self- reliance.
At the drop-in center victims will be able have a nourishing meal or snack. They can spend time resting and have their basic needs met.
We offer laundry services for victims. We also have a clothing closet where vitims can choose new clothing.
Victims are welcome to get some rest in one of our quiet rooms. Comfortable beds and bedding will allow vitims to get some relaxation and rest safely in our drop-in center.
A case manager who will help create an action plan for each client's specific needs. They will explain of all our programs and resources we have available. They can work on an exit plan to get victims to safety and discuss long-term restoration for healing.
Individulal need assessments will be completed for each client. We will be able to refer clients for any needed health or counseling services. Our caring staff will help to coordinate these referrals.
Education opportunities for victims to get their GED or begin college will be available. They will receive assistance to fill out applications, obtain grants/ student loans for college and assistance with job skills and placement.
